He was only 24.

"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time."

I get emails from other countries on military suicides. This is just one more example of how very human these men and women are. It doesn't matter where they live as much as they just don't want to live anymore. No nation has taken care of their veterans properly and no nation can claim they really support their troops.

  1. I just dropped in on your site to see what was in the news and this is the second story in a row that is just like my daughter Kimberly's as you well know her story, but all I can say is I can't stop crying. That's what these stories do to me they make me just cry that these heroes felt so hopeless. I pray for them Kathie...

  2. It is Moms like you that I do this for. Sure, I want to give you whatever comfort I can, tell your stories so other families won't feel alone but more than that, to give others a chance to never have to feel that way.

You know better than I do what it is like when families do the best they can with what they know but after a suicide, they end up blaming themselves. It is not YOUR fault. It is all of ours.

I posted this one to show that it is not just happening in the US military.
