(WBIR - Crossville) A Cumberland County veteran, wounded in Iraq, is on a mission to help others like himself.

After joining the U.S. Army from high school, Charles Hargrove has retired after 20 years of service.

Hargrove doesn't like talking about his war injury, but he's no stranger to bad luck. After three tours of duty, Hargrove returned to Cumberland County in 2007 with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

He bought his first house after returning from duty, but days later a tornado torn it apart. Hargrove rebuilt. Seven months later, Hargrove's home caught fire and was burned to the ground.

"It was pretty bad, but I dealt with it. You deal with the blows that are dealt to you," Hargrove said.
