Understand you are not alone although right now you must be feeling no one understands. There are millions of others in this country dealing with PTSD from all the different causes. Watch the videos below to help you understand. The book can be opened right from this site by clicking on the link in the right hand side. It is in Adobe. If you have problems opening it, let me know and I can email you the file.
I suggest you take a look at two of the videos, Hero After War, so you can understand what he is seeing when he has a flashback. The other is Death Because They Served. It is about the suicides in the military involved in both occupations, and from all the nations involved. It will help you to understand that none of this, none of the reactions he has, has anything to do with you. It is because he is wounded he will act, or react, the way he does.
The family members of these men and women, did everything possible to help, but when the military was not dealing with the wounds, they felt lost and betrayed.
We cannot stop all suicides, but we can prevent most of them by simply understanding what PTSD is and helping them heal.
Sending back a wounded soldier back to the place they were wounded, is wrong. He needs medical care. They keep doing this and pretend they care about those they send.Kathie Costoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05930848909252282916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4742487410373715914.post-9879316800375021582007-08-16T01:59:00.000-04:002007-08-16T01:59:00.000-04:00My son served his country in Afghanistan one year....My son served his country in Afghanistan one year. while over there he watched one of his buddies kill himself, and than had a mere miss Suiside bomber hit the truck in front of him while in convoy. after that he could not sleep he had to be put on Anti depressants. when his tour was over he was told to take 3 monthes off, and he spent the first month home drunk. He has gotten the help he needs, but still has anger issues.he will be going back in 23 monthes. I would love your book, so I can understand what he is feeling.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01823774262318322326noreply@blogger.com
