DELAND, Fla. —A 31-year-old Navy SEAL was killed in a skydiving accident while training in DeLand early Saturday morning. 

DeLand police said they were called to Skydive DeLand just before 8:30 a.m. for a report of a hard landing. Petty Officer First Class William "Blake" Marston was found unconscious near 2000 Brunswick Lane, which is on airport property, police said.

According to the police incident report, Marston appeared to have a broken leg when he was found. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A witness told investigators he saw something fly off Marston's parachute as he was between 40 and 60 feet in the air, police said. read more here

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) -- When Cherilyn McGraw won a skydiving trip on the Ellen DeGeneres Show it was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime for she and her husband, but unfortunately that dream trip turned into a nightmare when her husband tragically passed away.

Since returning home from his third tour of duty with the Marine Corps neighbors say it was hard to miss Gunnery Sergeant Brandon McGraw jogging around the neighborhood, or working on his new Harley.

PERRIS, Calif. (KABC) -- A Marine from Camp Pendleton has died while skydiving in Perris, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The accident was reported at 3 p.m. at 2000 Goetz Road near Perris Valley Airport. The male victim was declared dead at the scene, and a U.S. flag was draped over the body.

ANDERSON, S.C. — A National Guard soldier who served two tours of duty in Afghanistan has drowned in a lake along the Georgia-South Carolina border.

Multiple media outlets report that 28-year-old Brad Daniel Seawright’s body was recovered Sunday morning by divers searching Lake Russell.

WEST POINT, Va. — State police have identified the body of a man killed in a skydiving accident Saturday.

Command Sgt. Major Harry Parrish, 53, of Fort Meade, Md., was found Sunday morning near Middle Peninsula Regional Airport, not far from the town of West Point, about 40 miles east of Richmond.
